Festival of Sacred Music and Art
Combining glorious architecture with fine classical music, the Festival di Musica e Arte Sacra brings sacred music to life at a number of opulent basilicas throughout the holy city of Rome.
The festival opens at San Giovanni Basilica on Sunday at 8.30pm with Bach's The Art of Fugue, a performance by Hans-Eberhard Dentler. The following days feature concerts by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestre de la Suisse Romande among many others.
